Kita Kampground is located in a private outdoor setting in the Missouri Ozarks near the Black River, away from the hustles and bustles of city life and isolated from the noisy river area.  The terrain in this area is varied, with lots of beautiful trees and plenty of wildlife and water to go around.

We offer accommodations for you, the holiday traveler, including kamping kabins, primitive camping, large and small rental tents, and RV sites.   With this variety and over 200 sites to choose, there is a spot for everyones taste and budget.  That is, if you enjoy the wilderness experience. 

We have been renovating the old Clay Lick Hollow place and have changed the name and focus.  This camp is not only for those who want firewood and a campsite,  but for those who might want to rent a tent, bed, mats, heaters, or other camping gear as well.  Whether travelling yourself or with a group, we have the resources you will need for a wilderness style campout.  We uniquely offer an optional dry bed (in kabins and some tents) to help take some of the rough out of the wild (which the less rugged types will surely appreciate).   All in all, we are now offering facilities and services not offered at any other camp in this area.   They said if we built it, you would come.

This camp is surely ideal for family vacationers, weekend warriors, adventurers, outdoor sports enthusiasts, the "not so rugged yet still outdoorsy" type, and large groups who can appreciate being in a wilderness area amidst tourism, yet far enough away that the noisemakers and party-hearty types dont bother you.  There is nothing fancy here, and that is part of its charm.  It is for outdoorsy types who want the privacy of whispering trees and infinite stars instead of concrete and lights, far from (nuisance) neighboring camps and well sheltered within a valley far, far removed from city noises and lights.  When you come, we trust you will agree ..... this camp really is away from it all!

This is a "family-friendly" camp; there are other camps further down the highway for those who seek a more wild and late closing experience.   We strictly enforce our "quiet and considerate please" policies to ensure a safe and friendly experience for all who say with us.   We surely want you to feel like you wouldn't hesitate to come back and enjoy with us, again.
